Who is this program for?
The Vein Room programs are designed for high school students in grades 10–12 who are interested in exploring healthcare careers, as well as graduating seniors preparing to pursue certification or entry-level healthcare opportunities.
Do students need prior healthcare experience?
No prior healthcare experience is required. Phlebotomy I and the Senior Bridge Program both include foundational instruction for students who are new to healthcare.
What grade levels are eligible?
Phlebotomy I and II are open to students in grades 10–12.
The Senior Bridge Program is designed for 12th grade seniors and recent graduates.
Can students enter directly into Phlebotomy II?
Students typically complete Phlebotomy I before entering Phlebotomy II. Students with prior coursework or experience may be eligible to enter Phlebotomy II with approval or placement.
Where are classes held?
Phlebotomy I and II are delivered on-site for schools, homeschool groups, and learning communities by arrangement.
The Senior Bridge Program is held in person at our dedicated training site.
What is the location of the training site?
Our Senior Bridge training site is located in the Maricopa, Arizona area. Exact address and directions are provided upon enrollment.
How long is each program?
Phlebotomy I and II are each 6-week programs, meeting twice per week for 90 minutes per session.
The Senior Bridge Program is a 12-week program meeting twice per week for 3 hours per session.
Does this program include live blood draws?
Instruction focuses on theory, safety, and simulation-based practice. Any live clinical experience is handled according to safety standards and partner site policies.
Will students be certified at the end of the program?
The Senior Bridge Program prepares students to sit for the national phlebotomy certification exam after graduation. Certification is awarded by the national testing organization, not directly by The Vein Room.
Is this program accredited?
The Vein Room is an educational training program aligned with national phlebotomy standards. Accreditation and certification are handled through external credentialing organizations.

Is this program covered by ESA or homeschool funds?
Eligibility for ESA or homeschool funding varies by family and provider. We recommend families confirm eligibility with their funding administrator.
What is the cost of the program?

Is transportation provided?
Transportation is not provided. Families are responsible for arranging transportation to the training site.

Who teaches the program?
All courses are taught by a certified phlebotomy instructor with clinical experience and a passion for healthcare education.
Is this program appropriate for students considering nursing or medical careers?
Yes. The program is an excellent foundation for students considering nursing, allied health, medical, or laboratory science pathways.
